Between Knits and Knits:

  1. Bring yarn under right needle to the front of the work
  2. Bring yarn over right needle to the back of the work
  3. Yarn is in position to knit the next stitch

Between Knits and Purls:

  1. Bring yarn under right needle to front of the work
  2. Bring yarn over right needle to the back of the work
  3. Bring yarn under right needle to front of the work to have yarn in position to purl

Between Purls and Purls:

  1. Yarn is already in front of work from the previous purl stitch
  2. Bring yarn over right needle to the back of the work
  3. Bring yarn under right needle to front of work to have yarn in position to purl

Between Purls and Knits:

  1. Yarn is already in front of work from the previous purl stitch
  2. Bring yarn over right needle to back of work
  3. Yarn is in position to knit the next stitch
